What is Census Day?
Census Day is a key date for our school in determining the funding we receive for the upcoming year. On this day, Friday, 1 August 2025, we report student attendance to the Australian Government. The information collected helps allocate vital financial resources to our school based on the number of students present. This funding directly supports the programs, staffing, and services we offer to our students.

Why is it Important?
Students who are absent on Census Day may not be included in our funding count, which can reduce the resources available to our school. Federal funding contributes to our ability to maintain high-quality teaching, learning programs, extracurricular opportunities, and student support services.
How Can You Help?
Please ensure your child attends school on Friday, 1 August. If your child will be absent due to illness or other reasons, we ask that you notify us as early as possible. For pre-arranged absences (e.g. medical appointments), please inform the school in advance so we can ensure accurate reporting.
Note: Year 11 and 12 students participating in approved off-site study or work placements, or students with documented flexible learning arrangements, are not required to attend school on this day.
